Sailing with Monara gives you the opportunity to relax, read all the books you missed out on, talk, take naps, do your favourite cooking, listen to music and laugh, while the yacht brings you to a faraway destination.
We feel that the journey is more important than the destination...
Monara means capable leader.
Monara was built by Timmer in Delft, The Netherlands, as a classic deep displacement trawler yacht.
Two identical hulls were made, named the Olympic Class. Monara is hull number 459.
For 15 years Monara chartered in the Mediteranean, serving time for the rich and famous.
Two British brothers purchased Monara in 1976. One lived in Portugal, the other in Manchester. For years Monara explored the West coast of Scotland and shuttled between the UK and Portugal.
2011 brought a new owner, who used Monara as his private yacht, giving her loads of love and care, to keep her ship shape.
From 2016 onward Monara joins us in exploring the world. With Antwerp in Belgium as a home port, she has shown us Denmark, Sweden, South West Ireland, Galicia, London, Guernsey and the Scottish West Coast en Hebrides.
We do plan more...
